Terms & Privacy Policy

These terms and this policy cover how BRIXBOARD works and how we handle member information. They apply to everyone who creates an account or visits brixboard.com.

Effective November 1, 2026

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

BRIXBOARD is a professional network for people and companies working in the multifamily and rental housing industry, operated at brixboard.com. By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use BRIXBOARD.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use BRIXBOARD. You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and your company, and to keep it up to date.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your account or impersonate another person or company.

3. Your content and conduct

You keep ownership of the posts, comments, questions, answers, job listings, event listings, profile details, and other material you submit. By posting, you grant BRIXBOARD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content inside the service and in features that share it, such as public post links and member feeds. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained in backups for a reasonable period.

You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, misleading, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy. You also agree not to scrape the service, run automated accounts, or send unsolicited commercial messages to members.

We may review, remove, or limit distribution of content that violates these terms or that we believe harms the community. Authors and administrators can remove posts, comments, questions, and answers.

4. Advertising and sponsored content

Companies reach the BRIXBOARD audience through native advertising, including sponsored posts and banner placements, which are labeled as advertising. Advertisers are responsible for the claims in their creative and for complying with applicable advertising laws. Advertising does not change what members can say, and labeling is always visible.

5. Third-party content and links

The BRIXBOARD news feed includes headlines, excerpts, summaries, and links to articles published by third parties. Those articles belong to their publishers, and summaries are generated to help members decide what to read. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Links to jobs, events, and advertiser sites are provided for convenience.

6. Suspension and termination

You can stop using BRIXBOARD at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, if required by law, or to protect members and the service. Where practical, we will tell you why.

7. Disclaimers

BRIXBOARD is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Industry news, market information, peer advice, job listings, and event details are posted by third parties or other members and are not verified by us. Nothing on the service is legal, financial, or professional advice, and you should confirm important information before relying on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BRIXBOARD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. When the changes are material, we will notify members in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use BRIXBOARD after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account and profile details you provide: name, email address, company, title, location, phone number if you add one, profile photo, and whether you are a professional or a company account.

Content you create: posts, comments, questions, answers, likes and reactions, connections, community memberships, messages, job and event listings, advertising creative, and support requests you send us.

Usage and device information: pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, referring link, and log data such as timestamps and errors.

2. How we use information

To operate the service: authenticating you, showing your feed, delivering messages and connections, and publishing the content you choose to share.

To personalize what you see, including which articles and communities appear first and which members we suggest you connect with.

To keep the community safe: detecting spam, scraping, abuse, and fraudulent accounts.

To measure and improve the product, and to report aggregate, non-identifying statistics to advertisers and partners.

To send you service messages, and marketing emails if you opt in, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences, and measure how the service is used. Where we use advertising or analytics services, those providers may set their own cookies and identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in.

4. What is visible to others

Your name, photo, title, company, location, and the posts, comments, questions, answers, and community memberships you create are visible to other signed-in members. Feedback you give and content you share through a public post link are visible to anyone with that link.

Messages, connection requests, support tickets, and your email address are not shown on your public profile.

5. Service providers

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf and under contract, including hosting and database providers, email delivery providers, advertising and analytics providers, and payment processors for advertising purchases. We do not sell member personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of BRIXBOARD, our members, or the public.

6. Data retention

We keep account and profile information while your account is active. Content you delete is removed from the service, though copies can persist briefly in backups. We keep records longer where we need them for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your profile information from your profile page at any time. You can delete the content you have posted, and you can ask us to delete your account and personal information.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your information, correct it, restrict or object to certain processing, or complain to a data protection authority. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe the law requires.

8. Security

We protect accounts with encrypted connections, access controls, and row-level permissions that limit what each member can read and change. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. Children

BRIXBOARD is a professional network for adults. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle personal information, we will post the updated policy here and notify members in the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
